Music is what gets me up in the wee early hours of the morning so I can go to the gym. It is my motivation– especially when I have a fresh new playlist all ready to be listened to! Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people ask where they can find good workout playlists or music apps to use at the gym. So I decided to share my most recent playlist that I have been using when I workout. It is roughly 40 minutes long and they can all be found on iTunes.

Warm Up Songs:

–Jay Z and Kanye West ft. Frank Ocean– No Church in the Wild (This song always gets me going, it never fails!)

–Kanye West– Flashing Lights

Working Out Songs:

–Afrojack and Chris Brown– As Your Friend

–David Guetta ft. Timbaland. Dev and Afrojack– I Just Wanna F

–Swizz Beatz– Everyday is Your Birthday

–Hadouken!- Levitate ( I am usually hardcore pumpin at this point!)

–Ace Hood ft. Future– Bugatti

–Chris Brown– Fine China

–French Montana ft. Nicki Minaj– Freaks

Cool Down Music:

–T. Rone– Hello Love

–Jennifer Hudson ft. Neyo and Rick Ross– Think Like a Man (This song is such a confidence booster! Great end to a great workout!)

Hope you enjoy and if you are looking for more awesome workout music, download the app Songza. I find great music there for all occasions and they is always new stuff!

Be creative with words!

by Ashleigh on April 4, 2013

in Best of Foreverfruitful

I want this blog to be about creativity at it’s core. I want my posts to inspire you and encourage you to have a creative moment for yourself. Creativity has many forms, and today I would like to share a poem.

EROS

You are my drug. Not my agape love. You are the lighter and I am the piff,

So light me and smoke me.

Love me till my joints get stiff.

The sun is down, It’s time to go home.

My time to be alone…again. Silence is killing me.

I wanna go home,

but I don’t want to be alone with these thoughts, so,

I refresh and resharpen.

I fix up myself cause the party is starting

I’m free and I like it. I can be selfish and not worry about it. I feel so alive in this element.

Out of the ashes of my burned heart a phoenix has been born.

O, my eros! I’ve missed you for years!

When you left, O how I cried tears!

I locked you away and twisted the key,

I figured you would never think of me…

I hope you liked this post! If you did please don’t forget to share, and like the Facebook page! What will you do to be creative this week?

Measure and cut your paper piece. You can use scissors to cut it out, or a craft knife.

Use a paintbrush to paint on a little Mod Podge Matte-Mat.

Next, place the cut paper on top of the wet glue. Press firmly. Paint the Mod Podge Matte around the sides of the piece as shown, and let dry completely.

Almost there! Now to apply the dimensional Mod Podge. Apply it around the edges, then gradually fill in the center.

diy-scrabble8

Let this dry completely! It takes a long time, so give it about  3 hours to be safe. It will dry clear.

diy-scrabble9

Once the piece is fully dry, just glue on the post earring back with E-6000 glue and let that dry. Add your earring back and you are done!

I recently went on an adventure without any expectation. Sometimes I like to just hop in the car and drive somewhere I have never been, get lost and explore an area. I had to do something in the Hudson Valley, so I decided to get lost and make a one day getaway of it.

I visited a few of the shopsin Red Hook, NY and bought some fun washi tape and letterpress cards from Tivoli Mercantile. There were so many fun things for adults and children. They have a whole section just filled with kids toys, games and apparel.

I had to get some good eats, So I opted for Taste Buds Café.

I was sitting there, gorging on my yummy breakfast burrito and sipping some coffee at Taste Buds and I just knew I HAD to tell you all about this little adventure! I had to come to  the Hudson Valley to wander by chance and I have discovered so many cool shops full of creative crafty thrifty goodness, hip yummy food, and kind souls.

Oh, and SUNSHINE! It is a beautiful day! I easily get mesmerized by the charm of small towns like Red Hook, NY. I wandered around a bit, and I even brought home some goodies! The atmosphere was so comfortable.  The music is smooth, the sunshine is inspiring, and there were so many beautiful pieces of artwork I just could not leave!

Just wanted to let you know that.

So, the next time you are in the Hudson Valley, stop by downtown Red Hook. The charm is amazing. Evreyone is friendly, and you will not regret it. Go down for the day!

Healing Words

by Nicole on February 18, 2013

in Best of Faux Stache Glass, Inspiration

We all go through bumps and rough patches through out our lives. How we cope with them is what will determine the results of the situation. When I am under some stress and things are just not going my way, I turn up my Itunes and head over to Pinterest onto the ‘quotes’ board. Sometimes just a few words of wisdom will help me get through whatever is going on in my life at the moment. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one struggling and a little reassurance goes a long way.

photo

Just by reading these two words, how will it improve your crummy situation? We will all interpret it in a different way, but sometimes it is all we need to help kick start our success. I read different quotes almost everyday just to help me think in a different perspective. What words do you live by?

Hello Again! It is that time of year!

I know Valentines Day is not a major holiday, but I love it because it is a reason to shop for a sexy outfit to wear. It doesn’t matter if you have a valentine or not. Take this time to celebrate how much you love yourself in all your hotness.

I have a few favorites to share with you that can be put together for a great V-day look. The best thing about these pieces is they are so versatile that they can be reworked for any date night or special occasion for the rest of the year.

The Little Black Dress

Classy and romantic. Being covered up CAN be sexy and seductive. I prefer it.

The Personality Piece

This is where you really shine. Show a little of your personality with a fun piece, like this red rose ring, that functions as an exclamation point for your ensemble.

This look was inspired by the five pieces mentioned above and everything came right out of my closet! The best part is that I can wear this again– together or separate. Now it’s your turn! Which pieces did you like most? What are you wearing?

Love ya! Hope you enjoyed this post!

In this day and age do we receive fun mail anymore? Everything is pretty much e-mailed to us and if we do get any snail mail, it is usually credit card junk mail. Sundays are one of my favorite days just for the fact that I can be lazy and not have to worry about ANYTHING, including my alarm going off. My workdays are busy, so all week I look forward to cuddling on my couch with the pup and watch Breakfast in Bed on SOAPnet. (And a little online shopping!) Now, to make this day even better, I brew some coffee and make a delicious breakfast. This morning I made the ultimate meal with only a few ingredients in my kitchen, and my husband could not stop raving about it! photo 4 What you need for this delicious breakfast: 1 package of crescent rolls

3 scrambled eggs

1/2 package of cooked bacon

2 cups shredded cheese

1/2 bag frozen shredded potatos (cook according to directions)

salt and pepper to taste

Combine eggs, bacon, potatos, cheese salt and pepper in a bowl.   photo 3   Take a heaping spoonful to the crescent roll and roll it up photo 1 Bake according to package directions and viola! Everything you love in just a few bites! You don’t have to stop here, you can add whatever you want, sausage, spinach, mushrooms etc.

This is the ultimate Sunday for me, there is nothing better! Everybody needs a day of relaxation because the hectic work week will be here before you know it. Whether your day off is on a Sunday or any other day of the week, how do you spend it? Enjoy!
